INTRODUCTION
Together with the Coachella Innovation Team, we developed the art direction for Coachella Quests, a brand new game that allows fans to collect digital stamps, level up, and compete for the grand prize: Guest Passes for Coachella 2025. Players could collect stamps hidden throughout the internet and on-site at the festival to gain points and earn rewards along the way.

The visual identity was developed to resemble the tangible aesthetic of passport stamps all the while preserving Coachella's vibrant and diverse aesthetic.

USER INTERFACE

QUESTS
Series of quests were released to players in Chapters, beginning prior to the festival and extending through its commencement. 

Each quest required a distinctive postcard accompanied by a corresponding stamp for display on the UI. We produced more than 50 of these postcards by applying a stamp-like effect to photos of Coachella’s most recognizable structures and imagery. We then arranged these assets in diverse compositions to align with each quest name.



CANVAS CARDS
At the start of the game, players were asked to choose a Canvas Card which would act as the indicator of their level throughout gameplay. As players completed quests to earn stamps, they would earn points which help them to advance them through the levels which would update the artwork on their Canvas Card. Each level is represented with different artwork:

(Ferris Wheel, Spicy Pie, or Roadrunner)

Keyholder

In addition to new artwork per level, players can complete additional quests on the Coachella fairgrounds to earn Reward Skins which would change the color and texture of their Canvas Card.

SOCIAL MEDIA PROMO
In preparation for the launch of Coachella Quests, our team was assigned the responsibility of crafting promotional videos for showcasing on Coachella's social media platforms. These videos feature walkthroughs of the game on mobile devices, aimed at offering a concise overview to generate excitement and anticipation for the game.

These animations were posted on the official Coachella Instagram and Twitter (X) pages. 



KEEPSAKE MERCHANDISE TRUNK 
OPENSEA NFT

Coachella offered fans the opportunity to purchase Throwback Merchandise Trunks as an NFT via OpenSea. Each trunk unlocks a unique curation of merchandise from the last 15 years of Coachella including a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and an accessory. These can be viewed here.
